After School Matters Opens Summer Programs Application, Marking 35 Years of Serving Chicago Teens

After School Matters® is now accepting applications for its Summer Session, offering more than 10,000 Chicago teens the opportunity to participate in hundreds of free programs across the city in the arts, communications and leadership, sports, and STEM. The Summer Session begins the week of June 22, programs are free, and all participants earn a stipend. Teens can explore and apply for programs at afterschoolmatters.org. This summer, teens ages 14–15 will receive a $480 stipend, and teens ages 16–18 will earn $17.05 per hour.  As After School Matters celebrates its 35th anniversary, the organization continues to expand access to life-changing opportunities for Chicago teens. Since 1991, After School Matters has connected hundreds of thousands of young people with safe, supportive programs that build skills, confidence, and pathways to future success.
