The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Chicago kicked off Mental Health Awareness Month with NAMIWalks Chicago 2026, its annual 5K walk at Jackson Park, bringing more than 1,000 supporters, families, advocates, and community members to raise awareness and support for mental health across Chicago. The event raised nearly $25,000 to support NAMI Chicago’s free mental health programs and services, including its Helpline, education, outreach, and advocacy efforts that connect thousands of people each year to care, support, and resources.
