Obama Presidential Center Opens to the Public

Lawndale News Chicago's Bilingual Newspaper - Local NewsOn June 18th, the Obama Presidential Center officially opened their doors to the public with the help of dynamic performances from Marc Anthony, Common, Stevie Wonder, Christina Aguilera, and Uniting Voices Chicago, to name a few. Located on Chicago’s South Side Jackson Park, the Obama Presidential Center intends to be the global hub designed to inspire, empower, and connect people to create change. Throughout the weekend, Chicagoans were welcomed with three days of music, laughter, and hands on activities. The 19.3 acre campus features the Obama Presidential Center’s Chicago Public Library Branch, and outdoor nature walk at the Women’s Garden or the Wetland Walk, Home Court, an NBA regulation-size court, the Obama Presidential Center Museum, and the Eleanor Roosevelt Fruit and Vegetable Garden, and much more.
