Registration Announced for Tuition-Free Summer STEM Program

Registration for the highly acclaimed Chicago Pre-College Science & Engineering Program (ChiS&E) summer session opens on Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Chicago State University, College of Education Building, 9501 South M. L. King, Jr. Drive. This year’s summer program is restricted to students entering seventh, eighth, or ninth grade in the fall. In-person registration is required. There is no entrance exam. The summer session meets weekdays from July 6th through July 31st, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Classes include algebra, computer science, and quantum physics. Field trip destinations will be announced at registration. ChiS&E’s tuition-free classes have opened doors to STEM careers for Chicago students for nearly 20 years.
