City of Chicago Launches Driver Resource Center

The Chicago Department of Business Affairs and Consumer Protection (BACP) launched the Driver Resource Center (DRC) for City licensed Public Chauffeurs, including Transportation Network Provider (TNP) Drivers.  Through a Request for Proposal process, the People’s Lobby Education Institute was selected to operate the DRC and help in accessing direct representation, support, and outreach and education services for all BACP Licensed Public Chauffeurs.  For more information, visit Chicago.gov/DRC. The People’s Lobby Education Institute will conduct outreach and provide education and information on the Public Chauffeur industry, including licensure by BACP, best practices, safety concerns, understanding a TNP platform’s terms of service and cultural and language specific training on available services and programs.
