The Little Village Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the 55th Annual 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade, scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. This year’s celebration honors the spirit of unity and the proud tradition of horsemanship with the theme United We Ride: Stronger Than Ever (Unidos Cabalgamos: Más Fuertes que Nunca). The parade will begin at the iconic Little Village Arch at 26th Street and Albany Avenue and proceed down 26th Street to Kostner Avenue — a vibrant two-and-a-half-mile stretch through one of Chicago’s most celebrated commercial corridors. Considered one of the largest parades in the Midwest, the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade draws over 400,000 participants, residents, and visitors each year.
