

The Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center and an ad-hoc volunteer collective of local arts presenters and advocates which include Hothouse and Pachanka Music Culture has come together to raise funds for the Venezuelan earthquake relief. The group has created a powerful event featuring cultural voices from across the community. All proceeds will support the Venezuelan Red Cross and World Central Kitchen’s local rescue and redevelopment efforts in Caracas-La Guaira. Participating artists include the Richard Peña’s Equilibrio Jazz Trio, the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center’s La Cantera, Chicago Samba, Fuego de Cumbia and local Venezuelan acts Tamanaco Tambor and Cepilla’o. The concert will be on Sunday, July 12th from 3p.m. to 6p.m., at the Segundo Ruiz Belvis Cultural Center, 4048 W. Armitage Avenue. For tickets or for general information, visit www.srbcc.org.
