City Colleges of Chicago is launching no cost computer and Information Technology (IT) continuing education courses to help Chicago residents build high-demand technical skills. The program offers flexible scheduling options, including evening and Saturday sessions, allowing people to balance learning with work and family commitments. In-person sessions will be held at Malcolm X College. As businesses across all industries transition to cloud-computing and digital infrastructure, basic computer literacy and specialized tech skills have become essential qualifications for the modern workforce. The course lineup features three specialized online IT certifications and one in-person foundational class:

• Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) – CE IT 1012: Introduces the core concepts of cloud computing and Microsoft Azure, preparing students directly for the AZ-900 certification exam. Held online via Zoom. Fridays; 10/6 to 11/17 7:00-8:30pm | Class #38692

• AWS Academy Cloud Foundations – CE IT 1011: Explores cloud architecture, core AWS services, security protocols, and career pathways in the cloud industry. Held online via Zoom, during evening hours. Thursdays: 10/6 to 12/8 6:00-9:00pm | Class #38724

• Google Cybersecurity Certificate – CE IT 1016: Focuses on foundational cybersecurity skills, data protection, and career opportunities in information security. • Computer Basics – PERDEV 4008: Tailored for true beginners to learn essential digital skills for school, work, and daily life. Held in person on Saturdays: 10/10 to 11/28 9:00-11:00am | Class #38751
