Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, but the fun continues all weekend long at Brookfield Zoo Chicago. Here’s your guide to making the most of the final days of summer at the Zoo. And don’t forget, guests can take advantage of a special BOGO ticket offer through Friday, Sept. 4th, while members will receive special perks with the kickoff to Member Appreciation Month

• Meet the new animals at the Zoo! Frankie, a male yellow-backed duiker (DAI-kur), recently joined the pack at Habitat Africa: The Forest and The Living Coast is now home to painted frogfish. A baby squirrel monkey born in July can be spotted hanging on mom’s back or chest in Tropic World.

• Last call for guest favorites: Butterflies! and Nature Stage! Both wrap up after this weekend.

• Same species, new spots: the Galapagos tortoises are exploring a habitat along 31st Street, Banggai cardinalfish, sexy shrimp and archerfish have returned to The Living Coast, and blue-throated macaws—one of the world’s rarest birds—are joining the recently renovated Macaws habitat.
