The Town of Cicero welcomed 50 students from Colegio de Bachilleres in the State of Durango, Mexico, on Friday, October 16, for a special Youth Brunch celebrating the longstanding educational and cultural exchange between the two communities. The gathering brought together local officials, Illinois state senators, educators, and representatives from Durango to welcome the visiting students and recognize the importance of education, cultural heritage, and international friendship. Hosted on behalf of Town President Larry Dominick, the event provided an opportunity for the students to learn about the community, meet local leaders, and strengthen the connections between Mexico and the United States. Proudly representing the State of Durango, the students participated in an exchange program designed to broaden their educational experiences, encourage cross-cultural understanding, and create lasting friendships. First Lady Diana Dominick welcomed the students on behalf of Town President Larry Dominick and encouraged them to continue pursuing their education and working toward their dreams.
