The Chicago Architecture Biennial officially open their sixth edition, SHIFT: Architecture in Times of Radical Change, led by Artistic Director Florencia Rodriguez. Visitors will have the opportunity to experience a dynamic lineup of exhibitions, installations, performances, and conversations that will continue to unfold across the city through February 2026. Featuring more than 70 architects, artists, and designers, the Biennial highlights urgent cultural, social, and environmental transformations and invites the public to explore them firsthand. All exhibitions and events are free and open to the public. This year’s exhibition opens across four main venues at the Chicago Cultural Center (78 E. Washington), Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts (4 W. Burton Place), Stony Island Arts Bank (6760 S. Stony Island Ave), and on the grounds of the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry (5700 S DuSable Lake Shore Drive), alongside over 60 partner sites across Chicagoland. A full calendar of opening weekend events and a complete list of partners can be found on the Biennial website: chicagoarchitecturebiennial.org.
