Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch is excited to bring back his annual Blue Christmas Toy Drive and Fundraiser for a 4th year. The event collects new toys and gifts for families in need this holiday season. It also raises funds for Democratic candidates across the state. The event draws the who’s who in Illinois politics for fun, fellowship, and the opportunity to give families the magic of the holiday season. Each year, Speaker Welch partners with local organizations to buy, collect, and distribute toys to families. This year, there will be giveaways at Proviso schools with PLCCA, Lurie Children’s Hospital, and Dream Academy, a local youth development organization.  Guests who donate a new toy during the event receive 50% off their fundraiser ticket. Attendees looking to make a bigger impact can become a Santa’s Helper Sponsor.  A Blue Christmas Toy Drive and Fundraiser will be held at Fogo de Chao, 1204 W. 22nd St., Oak Brook, Illinois, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased online at secure.actblue.com/donate/bluechristmas2025.
