
Mexican Ambassador Reyna Torres Mendivil, Alderman Byron Sigcho-Lopez and State Senator Celina Villanueva assisted in the grand opening of the new Casa Agua Calientes center at 1858 W. Cermak Road, 2nd floor in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood. Joining them in brief remarks at the grand opening were Representative Roselia Suarez Montes de Oca of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies and Casa Aguascalientes Chicago President Jesus “Chuy” Serna. The goal of Casa Aguascalientes Chicago is to strive to build a vibrant community where everyone can come together to improve the quality of life at all levels, including personal, professional, and entrepreneurial. A representative from Casa Aguascalientes Chicago stated the center will implement binational programs between the United States and Mexico in the areas of education, art, culture, civic engagement, and immigrant advocacy.
