

Celebrating its 49th year, Good Friday has brought thousands to Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood as the community celebrates Via Crucis—a reenactment of the fourteen stations of the cross, hosted right in the heart of 18th Street. The annual of the Living Way of the Cross (aka Pilsen Via Crucis) will reenact several scenes of Jesus Christ’s final days along a procession route that begins in at 9:00 a.m. Friday, April 3rd with the Last Supper reenactment; followed by Solemn Procession along 18th Street to Harrison Park. The Crucifixion Reenactment at 10:30a.m., at Harrison Park, 18th St. and Wood St., followed by the Closing Prayer and Reflection at St. Pius Church, 1919 S. Ashland Avenue.
