Thousands gathered in downtown Chicago last Saturday for another “No Kings” protest. The protest, which began at Butler Field in Grant Park heard several speakers, including Mayor Brandon Johnson. “Look around, our movement is bigger, our resolve is stronger, and we’re sending a message, no kinds in America,” Johnson said. “It’s about the power of the people!” Following the rally, protesters took to the streets in the Loop, marching west on Jackson Boulevard to Dearborn Street, before arriving near Trump Tower. Attendees pushed back against government overreach, Iran, and policies impacting working families and immigrants.
