
Chicago Public Library is excited to announce that the 27th Annual Poetry Fest will be taking place on Saturday, April 25 at Harold Washington Library Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will consist of poetry workshops and performances suitable for all ages. Some of the featured events include:
• The 22nd Annual Haiku Fest
• The Chicago Poetry Expo featuring poetry organizations from all over the state
• A conversation with Illinois Poet Laureate Mark Turcotte
Plus, this year’s keynote presentation will feature Chicago’s new Poet Laureate, Mayda del Valle, featuring music, readings and conversation with fellow multidisciplinary artist, Sandra Delgado.
