Mentalhood, PCC Community Wellness Center to Host Conversation on Black Men’s Mental Health

Mentalhood and PCC Community Wellness Center are bringing together men and boys from across Chicago’s West Side for a morning focused on mental health, healing, and connection. The gathering is part of Mentalhood’s statewide “Check Up from the Neck Up” tour, which aims to reduce stigma surrounding mental health and encourage men of color to build, breathe, and belong. The event will feature a complimentary breakfast, a Tai Chi demonstration, and on-site resources and support services. The event will be held on Saturday, May 2nd from 8:30a.m., to Noon at PCC Austin Family Health Center, 5467 W. Lake St. The event is sponsored by PCC Community Wellness, Holistic Human Development (HHD), The Ride Podcast, and Mentalhood Cultural Initiative. The event is open to men and boys ages 15 and older.
