March of Dimes Chicago, in partnership with Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc. (Meridian), will offer a Pregnancy and Community Wellness Event — offering free resources to support the health and wellness of families in Chicago Heights, Ford Heights, Homewood, Matteson, Park Forest, and neighboring communities. Families in southern Cook County often face barriers to accessing basic healthcare, including preventive care, nutrition support, and prenatal and postpartum resources. This event helps bridge that gap by bringing free, accessible services, supplies, and education directly to the community, ensuring children and families are healthy, supported, and can thrive. The event will take place on Saturday, May 16th from 10a.m., to 1p.m., at the Chicago Heights Park District Recreation Center, 1400 Chicago Road, Chicago Heights, IL. Entry is free and open to all.
