ComEd announced that applications are officially open for the 2026 ComEd EV Rally, an immersive summer scholarship program that invites Illinois teens to build and race electric go-karts while exploring future careers in clean energy, science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). A total of 60 students—30 girls and 30 boys—ages 13 to 18 will be selected to take part in this competitive, hands-on STEM experience. Each participant will receive a $1,000 scholarship upon completion of the program. Applications are available at ComEd.com/STEM. Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2026. This year’s race will take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at The Fields Studio in Chicago. Students can learn more and apply at ComEd.com/STEM
