Cook County Department of Public Health is inviting expectant and new parents to a community baby shower on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Harvey Park District’s Gloria Taylor Hall, located at 14821 Broadway Ave. in Harvey, Ill. This event will connect parents with trusted community organizations offering the following at no charge; Resources (Medicaid, WIC, nurse home visit programs and more), baby essentials; health education, breastfeeding and lactation (milk production) support, and fun activities in a family-friendly environment.
