The Illinois Lottery has delivered another strong year of results, generating $3.87 billion in total sales. The Lottery continues to grow sales year-over-year with four of the past five years being record years. The Lottery generated $804 million in proceeds for the State of Illinois — its fourth-best year for Net Income returns — resulting in $792 million in contributions to the Common School Fund to support K-12 public education and $12 million for local good causes. The year’s record sales demonstrate that Illinois Lottery players continue to support one of the state’s most vital institutions: public education. During the 2026 fiscal year, the Illinois Lottery also achieved the highest level of responsible gaming from the World Lottery Association. The Illinois Lottery’s fiscal year 2026 runs from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026. The operating income figure of $804 million is still to be audited and confirmed. Audited full year lottery returns to the state will be published later in the year. For more information, please visit www.illinoislottery.com.
