The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) hosted its 2026 Owner Symposium, bringing together over 500 property owners, managers, real estate investors and other housing providers for a day of education and networking focused on expanding affordable housing opportunities across Chicago’s 77 communities. The event featured three general sessions, including a presentation on partnering with CHA’s Project-Based Voucher Program, CHA Inspections (NSPIRE) and the final session covering rent determination. Attendees also visited an exhibit area and networked throughout the day. CHA first held the Owner Symposium in 2008 to educate property owners already participating in the HCV Program. It has since grown into a premier event for all Chicago property owners, managers and real estate investors. The event moved online in 2020 and returned in person in 2023, with an online option.
