EPA Investigates Violation

Meyer Steel Drum received a violation for not having their controlling device functioning properly. Their apparatus was not in substantial compliance. The Environmental Protection Agency sent engineers from the Federal to state level. We also had an attorney and a public relations person. Engineers from the air and water depts. came out this past week to investigate MRC Polymers and Meyer Steel Drum. Both companies have been emitting volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxide.
