As thousands protest the tragic killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis Police Officers all over the City, it has been overshadowed by individual acts of violence where neighborhoods have seen destruction. In an effort to restore peace and purpose, supporters gathered in Pilsen to hold a vigil at Plaza Tenochtitlan, 18th and Blue Island Tuesday afternoon. People were encouraged to bring an ofrenda to the community alter as a way to represent the pain and outrage of neighborhoods across Chicago.
