Cook County Clerk David Orr reminds suburban Cook County residents who are not yet registered to vote that they can still register online before the October 23rd deadline. Any voter with an Illinois driver’s license or state ID can register to vote online. Qualified applicants must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years old by the November 8th election and a resident of their precinct for at least 30 days prior to the election. Any registered suburban Cook County voter may request a mail ballot using the online application at cookcountyclerk.com/VoteByMail. The deadline to apply for a mail ballot is November 3rd, although the Clerk’s office recommends that voters request their mail ballot before October 31st to ensure against any postal delays. Suburban Cook County voters can find a map and list of the Early Voting locations and their hours at cookcountycleark.com/EarlyVoting.
