One Hope United, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families through foster care, early childhood education, and mental health services, launches its first annual Sip & Share for Foster Care campaign in recognition of National Foster Care Awareness Month this May. More than 391,000 children are currently in foster care across the United States, including over 16,000 in Illinois alone.  Restaurants in Illinois are participating by donating $1 from designated menu items throughout the entire month of May. A full list of participating locations and information can be found at www.onehopeunited.org/sip. Community members are encouraged to visit participating restaurants during May and share their support on social media using #SipAndShare to help raise awareness.
