The National Museum of Mexican Art is proud to present the U.S. premiere of Juan Gabriel: Mi Primer Bellas Artes, the newly restored and remastered edition of the legendary concert film, from director María José Cuevas and produced by Sony Music Vision, in a free community screening on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 7p.m. at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, in Chicago. The date coincides with the day Juan Gabriel: Mi Primer Bellas Artes debuts in theaters across Mexico and Latin America. The Museum’s Millennium Park presentation is the only free public U.S. screening. Originally recorded during Juan Gabriel’s historic 1990 performances at Mexico City’s Palacio de Bellas Artes, the film has been reimagined and re-edited to commemorate the 10th anniversary of his passing.
