

Promoting the benefits of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among Illinois youth means less healthcare costs for Illinois taxpayers. Illinois State Comptroller Susana Mendoza, a former All-Midwest Honors high school and college Soccer player, teamed up with CPS and the Chicago Fire for a clinic to health students from Edwards Elementary School on Chicago’s Southwest Side work on their soccer skills. Recently Comptroller Mendoza joined coaches from the Chicago Fire and CPS Athletics officials who were on hand to work with the youth.
